Project Overview:

The objective of this project was to design a product using thermoforming as a process in the fabrication. The purpose is to help to gain familiarity with plastics and thermoforming techniques and limitations.

For this project, my group and I designed and made a fully thermoformed lamp with a tiltable shade made of frosted acrylic and a body made of plasticine.

Through this project, our group had to deviate from the original plan because of limitations we found with the coloured acrylic, which helped us to reflect of the importance of iterations and testing id design.
